Man Utd ready to drop De Gea for another World class goalkeeper

David De Gea has started losing his sweet taste. He has now being ranked as any other ordinary goalkeeper from being rated the world best.

But are the future plans for David Dea?

Manchester UnitedĀ are ‘seriously considering’ a move for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak and are prepared to trigger his release clause, according to reports.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Spanish club from Benfica in 2014, recently penned a contract extension in the Spanish capital but his buy-out clause was only increased from ā‚¬100million (Ā£86m) to ā‚¬120m (Ā£104m).

And according toĀ ESPNĀ , United believe that sum represents ā€˜excellent valueā€™ for a player who is viewed by some to be the best goalkeeper in the world.

Despite previously stating his desire to stay at the Wanda Metropolitano and extending his deal until 2023, it is claimed that Oblak would like to see Atletico sign more top players in order to keep pace with domestic rivalsĀ BarcelonaĀ andĀ Real MadridĀ .

The Red Devils interest in the Slovenian stopper could open the door for long-term goalkeeperĀ David de GeaĀ to leave Old Trafford this summer.

De Gea is about to enter the final year of his current contract and is yet to sign a new deal with the Premier League club, with Real Madrid,Ā JuventusĀ and Paris Saint-Germain all believed to be interested in Spain international.

Despite being named United’s player of the year in four of the last five seasons, the current campaign has seen the 28-year-old make a number of uncharacteristic errors which have cost his side.
