Liverpool travel to Barcelona for the opening leg of the Champions League semi-final tie with the Catalan club and Andy Robertson is in good spirits.

The Reds left-back has been talking ahead of the fixture and has explained how him and Trent Alexander-Arnold will play.

A key part of Jurgen Klopp’s attacking tactics involve the use of our full-backs with the duo totting up an impressive 24 assists in all competitions between them this season.

Predicted XI v Huddersfield: Klopp to rest three names with one eye on Barcelona

Robbo is confident ahead of our toughest European test this year – the Scotsman fancies the Reds to put their stamp on the Nou Camp.

“It’s yet to be seen, you kind of need to see how the game unfolds,” he’s quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo. “Sometimes the full-backs get all the space, sometimes they don’t, so I think we need to learn from the game.

“We know we’ll have our hands full defensively, but we all defend as a team and we attack as a team. If me and Trent have time to go forward, we will do it. It’s not going to stop us.

“We know that we can create goals and chances, so why change that? But look, we will learn from the game and move from that and see how it pans out.

“It’s a challenge we all look forward to.”

One thing is a certainty – Liverpool will not be pushovers like Manchester United were in the previous round. If Barcelona want to win the Champions League they’re going to have to go through us.

The Reds have been fierce this season and, as I write this, are atop the Premier League table with two games remaining. Opposition doesn’t come much stronger for the Spaniards.
