Mouth-watering millions Eliud Kipchonge will bag after winning the London Marathon

The greatest marathoner of the modern era as he is referred to many, Eliud Kipchonge has proved to the world that he is arguably the marathoner of all time after a tremendous and sweat breaking 2 and half hours of racing in London.

Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge retained his champion title, the fourth time in a row in the London Marathon 2019 after clocking 02:02: 37 just just26 seconds short of breaking the world record.

Kipchoge set the world record of two hours, one minute and 39 seconds in Berlin in September. The 34-year-old won the London Marathon for the third time (previous wins 2015 and 2016) last year.

The renown Kenyan athlete switched from the track races in 2013, Kipchoge and has won all the marathons he has been involved in but one of his 13 marathons including Olympic gold at Rio in 2016.

Kipchoge picked up £38,000 for his stunning display in Berlin last year. He also pocketed £534,000 for a setting a new world record in the same race which he has fallen short of only 26 seconds of breaking.

The star took home £39,000 by winning the 2018 London Marathon and after winning and successfully winning the London Marathon he is going to bank £42,500 not counting the amount he might get for defending his title.

His income is also supplemented through his sponsorship deal with Nike.
