
Mount Kenya United remained unbeaten against Zoo FC in the Kenya Premier League following a 2-0 win in a league match played at Green Stadium Kericho.

In the previous five meetings in the top tier, MKU had won three and the other two ended in a draw. Heading to this clash they had given a walkover against Gor Mahia after players refused to honour the clash due to demands for unpaid salaries.
The clash which was played in a drizzling afternoon looked like it was head for a goalless draw but just before halftime MKU scored from a corner kick.

On return from the break, they doubled the lead scoring at the 56th minute.
The hosts pulled back at the 73rd minute through Anami Derrick. MKU restored a two-point gap after hitting their hosts on a counter attack for a 3-1 lead.

In the dying minutes of the clash, Dennis Chetambe whipped in a volley to cut the gap to just one point.
