The burial of former President Moi’s son, Jonathan Moi once again brought together bitter political rivals DP William Ruto and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.

There were earlier reports that the two avoided each other when Ruto arrived at the venue for the burial. A section of the media and social media circles even pointed out that Gideon Moi snubbed a handshake from William Ruto.

Well, it is now emerging that the two did not snub each other and that it was in fact DP William Ruto who extended a handshake to Gideon Moi.

The political rivarlry between the two also manifested itself during the week when Ruto snubbed Moi’s Kabarak home and instead decided on visiting the late Jonathan’s home in Kabimoi, Baringo County.

This led to wide speculations among Netizens with many arguing that Ruto might have been locked out from Moi’s Kabarak home.

Ruto spoke highly of Jonathan Moi’s humble disposition and wit which won him many friends and a huge fan base from rally enthusiasts.

He said Jonathan valued hard work, diligence and dedication to whatever he put his mind to and that his passing on is a great loss, not only to his family but to the country.
