Ethiopian PM call for support to strengthen connectivity in Horn region

The leaders’ round table summit at the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) kicked off today, in Beijing.

In his speech during the Round-table discussion of leaders on 2nd Belt and Road Forum, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed called for support to further strengthening infrastructure connectivity, increased concessional financing and investments in public private partnerships. Making the case for building on political successes in the Horn region.

Also, in his remarks during a high level meeting yesterday, the Premier highlighted the role that the Addis Ababa (Finfinne)-Djibouti railway is playing in facilitating trade between the two countries; an attestation to the connectivity principle of the Belt and Road Initiative.
