The AU representative for Infrastructure Hon Raila Odinga was simply blinded in his trip to China with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In other words the former Prime Minister Raila was chasing waterfalls.
According to Ambassador Monica Juma who is the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, SGR extension beyond Naivasha was never a priority agenda for the current mission to Beijing.
According to current President Uhuru Kenyatta’s visit to China, the focus was on growing market access, development of our industrial and special economic zones, and partnership with the private sectors for investment.
This means that the extension of SGR was never among the key areas which President Uhuru Kenyatta was going to address.
This implies that Hon Raila Odinga did not consult before making his declaration to residents of Kisumu.
