Mohamed Salah’s goal against Huddersfield just made him write history as he became the third player to score 20+ goals for Liverpool in consecutive seasons after Robbie Fowlet and Luiz Suarez.
Suarez was one of the best strikers to have graced the Premier League, but he only stayed with us for a few years before joining Barcelona.
Surprisingly, for a club who have been able to boast the firepower of Liverpool over the past 25 years, Salah is only the fifth player in Premier League history to reach the 20-goal barrier.
Curiously, despite plundering 158 goals for Liverpool, Michael Owen never reached the milestone. Nor did Ian Rush, who was well into the twilight of his goal-laden career when the Premier League was launched in August 1992.
