The ‘Isikuti love’ hitmaker, Mayonde is well known for her curvaceous body and a great voice. Many people may not know who she was in the past because of her great transformation.
The ‘Kama kawaida’ artiste was in the Gospel industry before she shifted to secular songs. During an interview, on being asked why she made a quit from the gospel industry, she said that she was carried away by peer pressure.
She was unable to fight off all the temptations which were coming on her way. She admired her fellow girls raving the whole night, something she couldn’t do since she was a church girl.
She would go to a supermarket and admire those who were buying wines. She would like to buy too and have a taste of it but her salvation could not allow her. She feared what people would think of her if they saw her purchasing it.
That was not all, Mayonde revealed that she would like to kiss boys here and there but while in the Gospel industry, such an act was a restriction to her. All she needed was having fun since by then she was so young to say no to peer pressure.
