The just concluded Wajir West by-election has once again set the Country for some rounds of political rhetorics and chest thumping between Key Political players.
Until yesterday, the Wajir West contest was seen by many as a battle between William Ruto’s Jubilee and Gideon Moi’s KANU. This is because the other major political player, ODM, had withdrawn from the race after suffering a major embarrasment in the Ugenya and Embakasi South by-elections.
This therefore left room for Jubilee to square it out against KANU with the ruling Party having the last laugh after the official results were announced.
Jubilee’s candidate, Ahmed Kolosh, also a former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) member got 11,053 votes as his closest rival Sheikh Ibrahim (KANU) came a distant second with 6,532 votes.
Kolosh joined Jubilee after decamping from ODM following a Supreme Court nullification of his previous win.
His Win has again made ODM the laughing stock in town with it’s critics trolling it across various social media platforms.
Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has asked ODM to join the hustlers nation in giving a hearty congratulation to Mr. Kolosh.
Khalwale has rubbed it on ODM’s face that although Kolosh, who was once their MP is now a Jubilee MP, there is nothing wrong with that since Raila is also in China with Uhuru.
The famous bull fighter seem to imply that since Raila agreed to work side by side by Uhuru, there is nothing wrong with Kolosh jumping ship to the Jubilee one and later sailing with it all the way to success.
