Bobi Wine’s new Song “Afande Sipigani Nawe” Marks the start of Revolution in Uganda

Kyadondo East member of parliament Hon Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine used the past two days under house arrest to compose a song which he now dedicates to Ugandan police.

The new song is now doing round on social media sides and has left many people from Uganda and around the region touched with its strong message to the Ugandan Police force (Afande)

Bobi in a gentle plea implored them to stop being used to violate the rights of the citizens. He tells them that he is not fighting them, but fighting for them, a noble course for them to have a brighter future and also an increase in their salary.

The song titled AFANDE is targeting to pass the message of revolution to the armed forces. It already has more views on YouTube than any other song released lately within that short period of time.

‘Dear friends, I used the past two days under house arrest to compose a song which I now dedicate to our men in uniform. While we are very grateful for the sacrifices they make to keep us and our country safe, we implore them to stop being used to violate the rights of the citizens’, Bobi Wine wrote on the YouTube.

The catchy phrase in the song is in Swahili, ‘sipigani nawe, nakupigania’, translated to ‘I am not fighting you, i am fighting for you’.
