JUST IN: Muslim Heads in Sri Lanka Reject Bodies of Bombers!

Reacting to a deadly attack in Sri Lanka where 360 people were killed in cold blood as they worshipped in Churches, and dined in hotels, the Muslim Heads have rejected the bodies of the suicide bombers involved.

In the Easter Sunday bombings that shook the island country after a decade of relative peace, the clerics denounced the bombers, saying they do not belong to the Muslim fraternity.

This follows a widespread condemnation of the atrocity by world leaders, with many countries pledging support to help Sri Lanka eliminate terrorism.

Three four of the nine suicide bombers were identified as coming from a wealthy family in Colombo.

Three of them were brothers, while the other one was the wife to one of the brothers.

CCTV footage captured two of the brothers accessing Hotel Shangri-La via an elevator, from where they are seen walking among foreigners having a breakfast buffet.

Shortly, two explosions occur and dozens of foreigners are killed in the aftermath.

The blasts also claimed the lives of three of the four children of a Dannish billionaire who were on holiday in the South East Asia’s island country.

Clerics Decision

Sri Lanka’s Association of Muslim Clerics (ACJU), said the bombers “would not be buried in mosques.”

The island nation which is composed of 70 per cent Buddhists and less than 10 per cent Christians, is not strange to extremism.

Before 2009, the country was embroiled in a fierce battle with a rebel group at the North which identified as Tamil Tiger fighters.

A charm offensive by the Sri Lanka government eradicated the group’s dominance in a battle that left over 70,000 people dead.

Since then, the country has never lost so many people as a result of violence.

Sri Lanka enters day 5 after the violence with the fifth curfew in a row.

Over 60 people have been arrested with 32 people being detained in connection to the Sunday carnage.
