Why is it that each time a prominent Kenyan, let’s say a politician or businessman dies, cases of their infedility while married to their current spouses always pop up?

Remember the case of Mutula Kilonzo? What of that of businessman Jacob Juma? Well, these are just the few cases that have graced the Kenyan soil. The list is long with this trend seemingly not going to end anytime soon.

The trend has now found it’s way to former President Daniel Moi’s family as his late son Jonathan Moi is now on the spotlight for allegedly siring twins at some point in his life, 21 years ago.

Twins boys have surfaced and are now demanding that they be recognized by Jonathan’s family as they claim that he is their biological father.

The two, Gerald Kipkosgei Toroitich and Geoffrey Kipkurui, who are both aged 21, revealed that Jonathan allegedly used to settle their school fees.

They even have Jonathan’s name on their birth certificates to all but prove that they are indeed the former Rally driver’s sons.

They have finally decided to open up to the public over their woes after it emerged that they have been sidelined by Jonathan’s larger family even in the burial plans of their father.

“We have been at Kabimoi where burial planning meetings are taking place but we have been ignored. Our efforts to reach Sylvia our stepmother have been frustrated. We are afraid we’ll not be recognized as his genuine heirs,” narrated Toroitich.

They further alleged they met their father in January 2019 while he was ailing and they even knew the specific hospital he had been taken to.

“We are Jonathan’s sons. We met with him in January and end of February when he began ailing. He told us he was going to Mediheal Hospital Nakuru. He gave us some money for personal effects at college. We never thought that was the last time we would see him alive,” continued Toroitich.

The two were born in 1998 and have been living with their mother Roselyne Opata in Bondo, Siaya county.
