Dandora is notorious for armed gangsters who use their wit to escape the police. However, it seems that the police have now hatched a new way of hunting thugs and eliminating them.
This comes after police officers dressed as religious women in long religious garbs and lured two armed thugs on Tuesday morning before shooting them dead at Stage ya Maji in Dandora.
This is one of the new tactics that police officers, especially in Eastlands, are using to deal with heightened crimes in the named areas
According to the police, the two thugs were part of five others who been preying on worshipers attending church services at night.
However, their mission was intercepted on Tuesday’s when the two goons confronted the disguised officers thinking that they were mere women walking from church and ordered them to stop.
They then started threatening them with guns and asked them to part with valuables in their possession. little did they know they were threatening the police
‘SHOT THEM’
“It is then that they realized that they had been trapped and two of them drew pistols and fired at the officers who retaliated and shot them dead,” said Kamukunji police commander Adamson Bungei.
“Police severally tried to get hold of them but that did not work, it is then that they improvised the trick,” he said.
The tricks works well because dandora thugs are well versed with police offices such that they can identify an undercover cop.
