Baffling Trends Sri Lanka Set on Suicide Bombing

Sri Lanka seems to have revolutionized terrorism after a group of brothers from a wealthy family blew themselves up killing hundreds of Christians in church and foreigners in luxury hotels.

The brothers who have in the past won the admiration of locals with their generosity and entrepreneurship, were all well educated and wealthy.

The Minister for defense, in his address to the press, said some of the suicide bombers were educated abroad, and even held second degrees.

Police questioned him immediately intelligence reports indicated that his sons had participated in the terror attacks that left 360 people dead.

While ISIS claimed responsibility for the carnage, Sri Lanka government believes the attack must have been coordinated through a local rebel group, NTJ.

NTJ, however, has never carried out any major attacks in Sri Lanka, with their activities only involving the defacing of Buddhist statues and conducting protests.

Ibrahim has six sons and three daughters. Two of his sons are said to have bombed hotels and died in the aftermath, while his youngest son died separately.

After spotting Police cordoning off his compound in the wake of the attacks, Ilham Ibrahim is said to have detonated a bomb in his house, killing him, his wife and three children.

In the awful event, three policemen lost their lives after being hit by shrapnel from the explosives.

Sri Lanka Deputy Minister was appalled by the new trend in terrorism that included even the wealthy and well-educated people in the society.

Sri Lanka has fired its Minister for Defense over what it says is negligence to report an earlier warning on impending attacks on Christians.

A major security shake-up is looming after it was realized that India and the US had warned the island country two weeks before the attack happened.

360 people lost their lives in the attack with some other 500 critically injured in hospitals.
