Why you should not miss Sharks vs AFC Leopards clash

Four Kenya Premier League matches will be played this Wednesday but the match to watch will be the one pitting Kariobangi Sharks and AFC Leopards.

The clash never disappoints, due to how both sides express themselves on the pitch whenever they meet. With the majority of their squads having youngsters, the match is mostly an end to end clash.

The teams also allow the ball to kiss the grass and Kariobangi Sharks direct style of play against AFC Leopards’ defense that has conceded 76 goals in the last one and half season makes it more exciting.

The first meeting between these two sides was played at Afraha Stadium. Sharks were in a fine form and AFC Leopards opted to have the clash at the venue where Sharks had never won a match.

Sharks managed to break the hoodoo with Mathew Odongo producing two classic finishes for a 2-0 win.

The return leg did not live to the expectations as it ended in a goalless draw. In the 2018 season, the two sides would produce a good show despite the muddy surface at Thika Stadium. They match ended in a 1-1 draw after Francis Manoah’s goal was canceled by Whyvonne Isuza.

The Big Cats were outclassed in the second leg going down 3-1. Sharks scored beautiful goals that one would have celebrated even if you were an AFC Leopards fans.

Early this season, the two sides treated fans to another thrilling display but the clash ended in a 1-1. Harrison Mwendwa scored after turn Leopards defenders inside out but Robinson Kamura equalized via a penalty.

The clash set for Karasani Stadium promises to one of the most entertaining clashes of the season as the surface of the stadium can allow the side to roll the ball.

AFC Leopards defence is slowing improving, and their attack is now getting goals. The will head to the clash oozing with confidence after a 3-1 win over Posta Rangers.
