The United States States, however, believe there are other looming attacks about to befall the Asian country.

Sunday attacks opened wounds to an almost three decades of civil war between the Northern Muslim fighters and the Buddhist majority.

In 2009, Sri Lanka government launched an offensive that wiped out almost 70,000 people in its wake.

A group of Muslims Wednesday expressed fear of reciprocal attacks after ISIS-linked group of attackers invaded the country’s capital of Colombo.
