Duale’s Silence linked to alleged Ksh 1.5 bn debts

The National Assembly Majority leader and Garissa Township Member of Parliament Hon Aden Duale has been linked to huge debts that he is yet to pay.

Rumors have it that the Jubilee MP owes Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) over Ksh 1.5 billion.

The rumors follows his current silence in the National Politics. He has been very critical in the government. The MP has also been presenting various bills in the parliament, among them being the two-thirds gender rule.

Duale who is also a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto had been critical in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government since 2013 but went gradually mute after the handshake deal between President Kenyatta and his opposition Counterpart Raila Odinga.

The vocal politician had been described as an ‘engine’ in the Jubilee administration especially on National Assembly matters.

He was repeatedly quoted saying that President Kenyatta fully supported his deputy Ruto for 2022 presidential bid but has however shied away from such public statements at this time that the relationship been President and his deputy is tellingly strained.

His silence also made James Ombui Oire to impersonate him to defraud people of their money.

Ombui runs a fake Facebook page that impersonates Hon Duale. He cons Kenyans by asking them to send Kshs. 2,000 registration fees using the phone number 0720886964 and 0722134712
