Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is expected to shake off a hip injury and take his place in midfield on Wednesday night when the Gunners take on Wolves in an English Premier League match.

Xhaka has been missing in action due to a hip injury and missed the team’s shock 3-2 loss to Crystal Palace at home on Sunday.

The team will also be happy to welcome Sokratis Papastathopoulos following a two-match ban.

Lucas Torreira, who came on as a substitute during the match against Palace, will also be in contention for a starting role in the crucial fixture.

Torreira suffered a groin injury in Arsenal’s 1-0 win against Watford and is yet to fully recover from the strain.

However, Barcelona loanee Denis Suarez remains sidelined with a groin injury, same as Aaron Ramsey (hamstring).

Arsenal travel to Molineux Stadium to face a Wolves side that has a good home record against the big teams, having taken points against Chelsea, Manchester City and United at home.

The match represents a good chance for Arsenal to pick themselves up, after a surprise 3-2 home loss against Palace, which dented their hopes of finishing in the top-four.
