The two teams clashed on Wednesday 15:00 (local time) in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

‘Pamzo’ had claimed that the team was in high spirits following their 4-1 win against Bidco United in the Shield Cup and will try to replicate that performance in the league.

“Chemelil is not that dangerous, they will come with a defensive approach and we will need to be patient in order to break them. It is always not easy to create chances against a team that sits deep, but I believe we will break them down with planned moves,” Omollo said.

KCB are currently placed in 11th position and a win would’ve pushed them to ninth had they held onto their lead when they scored in the first half.

Chemelil came back to the game when they drew level minute before the first half whistle and a spectacular manner took the lead in added time.

After the 2-1 win, Chemelil Sugar will move up to 28 points from 25 games.

Chemelil will next face Kariobangi Sharks in Chemelil Sports Complex as they hope to build on this win from KCB.
