Sri Lanka Now See ISIS’ Hand in Deadly Attack

After the fateful Easter Sunday multiple bombings rocked the tiny island nation of Sri Lanka, the country began marking a national mourning day by observing silence for three minutes..

The carnage, blamed on the local terrorist group, National Thowheeth Jama’ath (NTJ), is said to have been facilitated by ISIS.

In the aftermath of the deadly multiple bombings, over 310 people died and 500 others injured in what was the biggest attack over the last decade.

In his address Tuesday morning, Sr Lanka Police boss said they were investigating cases on whether there was a collusion between the NTJ and ISIS.

The Interpol has also confirmed its involvement in the matter, after US president Donald Trump assured Sri Lanka of his country’s support after the bombings.

In the Sunday massacre, over 36 foreigners lost their lives, with Three Dannish billionaire’s kids being in the death toll.

Four Americans, eight Britons and eight Indians are among the nations who lost big in the aftermath of the terrorist attack.

The eight blasts occurred in Sri Lanka’s capital of Colombo targeting churches and hotels mostly inhabited by foreigners.

The government through the Minister of Security confirmed that some 40 people have been arrested in connection to the terror, and that investigations is still ongoing.

The government said that NTJ was a small terror group and that they could not carry out a well-coordinated attack without help.

So far, no terror group has claimed responsibility for the bombings.
