SORRY INSECURE FANS! Here’s why Issa Rae’s hit Series won’t return till 2020

Seems all of the burning questions about the next chapter of Issa Rae’s Insecure won’t be answered until next year.

According to Deadline, HBO has confirmed that the hit show will not be returning to the network for its fourth season until 2020.

The reason being, that the show’s creator and star, is currently booked and busy. “Well, Issa became a big movie star!”

Casey Bloys, HBO’s programming president told the Press, “We’re not the first place to deal with this, but when you’re in business with very creative and talented people, there are a lot more opportunities for people to do things. Issa, I think, partly wanted a break to come back fresh.”

The actress, who can currently be seen in the comedy ‘Little’ alongside Marsai Martin, is slated to appear in a number of upcoming projects, including the romantic drama ‘The Photograph’ with LaKeith Stanfield as well as ‘American Princess’. She’s also currently developing a sketch comedy show, starring all black women.

According to Shadow & Act, HBO, in an effort to compete with streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, is currently in the process of expanding its programming and will become part of WarnerMedia’s streaming service. These changes have affected its 2019-2020 season, also moving new seasons of shows like Westworld, till next year.

The news has fans saddened but you know what they say patience pays and 2020 will soon be here with a new ‘Insecure’ season.
