Our Daily dose of political humour takes as all the way to Hassan Joho’s Mombasa County where a senior employee was forced to wet her pants on Tuesday.

According to several blogs, the woman who sits in Joho’s Cabinet could not believe that the police had come to arrest her and let her bladder loose in public.

At one time, she even called governor Joho to save her from eating the dreaded Githeri and Sukuma wiki that is the main dish in remand. Sources intimate that the police officers were trying to effect a warrant of arrest issued against the Minister.

Drama unfolded after police officers were deployed at strategic places at the county offices to carry out the arrest of the officer.

She was forced to escape through an emergency exit at the county offices to evade the arrest after getting a tipoff.

But other sources said she locked herself up in her office as the police tried to execute the warrant of arrest against the county government officer for failure to pay Sh18.5 million for legal services rendered to them through Robinson Malombo.

There was more drama when county chief officer of finance Aisha Abdi who also faces arrest took refuge at one of the county government offices.

Both officers face a six months civil jail sentence for willfully disobeying court orders issued early last year.

It took the intervention of the county in charge of devolution and public service administration Seth Odongo to salvage the situation.

The man at the centre of the unfolding drama, Malombo, was at that time in a closed-door meeting with high-ranking county government officers by the time of going to press.
