A 19-year-old girl, Fiona Ngui has allegedly threatened to file a lawsuit against Deputy President William Ruto saying that she was kicked out of her home after Nick Ruto, son to deputy president got her pregnant.
Fiona is seeking to force the Deputy President to give her financial support and money for college, in addition, to pay for tuition at her private college as he had promised her when she got kicked out of her Loresho home.
In her statement, Fiona alleged that Nick Ruto abandoned her and the Deputy President assured of his financial support to see her through college life. Lawyer Hillary Owiti has said the question of public policy must be considered, as the case might set a precedent in which women can flout their partner’s’ rules and then demand money from them.
According to Hillary Owiti, the Deputy President will have no case to answer in court and it is the responsibility of Fiona to sue Nick Ruto over child negligence.
