‘He was my friend and brother’ President Kenyatta mourns Jonathan

President Uhuru Kenyatta has described the Late Jonathan Moi as his friend and brother.

Through a condolence message sent to the Moi family, Uhuru said he had received the news of JT’s demise with shock and disbelief.

“I have received the news this morning of the passing away of my friend and brother Jonathan Toroitich Moi with great shock and disbelief.” The President said.

He said JT, as he was popularly known will be remembered for his pioneering exploits as a rally driver and a successful farmer, businessman and entrepreneur.

“JT, as Jonathan was popularly known to many of us, was a humble, kind, generous and courageous person. JT’s word was always his bond, he was dependable.”

“May the Almighty God rest the soul of our brother and friend Jonathan Toroitich Moi in eternal peace.”

The ODM Party also joined Kenyans in paying tribute to JT, a man who decided not to venture into politics like his brothers and father.
