Acting on a tip from members of the public, sleuths drawn from Gigiri’s headquarters.
In their pursuit, the detectives in coordination with Flying Squad officers managed to corner a ring of suspected criminals who have been renovating stolen vehicles.
The man, Mr.Duncan Ochieng Ouso was arrested after police cornered him in his apartment.
During the raid, a Toyota Premio & a Toyota Wish were recovered. The suspect-notorious for receiving stolen motor vehicles & repainting them-was arrested at an apartment within Umoja.

But before the dust could settle on the nabbed suspect being taken to custody, another chase would ensue.
Police on their way to the station spotted a vehicle with foreign registration plates.
On challenging the driver to stop, the occupant refused, prompting the police to begin a chase.
It did not take long before the driver left the car at the Gilgil’s weighbridge and fled in the bush.
Police insist investigations are underway to bring the car occupant to book.
