Mauricio Pochettino could have £150m to revamp his Tottenham squad this summer, according to reports
The Daily Mail claim the Spurs boss wants up to new five players ahead of the club’s first full season in their £1billion stadium.
Pochettino’s men booked their spot in the Champions League semi-finals in dramatic fashion when they knocked out Manchester City on Wednesday night, but the 47-year-old is already planning significant changes.
He will have a kitty of £60m plus whatever he generates from player sales — with a number of key personnel set to depart White Hart Lane in the summer.
Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld are among the players who could move on.
Eriksen, 27, has a year left on his current deal and with talks over a new contract continuing to stall, Spurs would be willing to sell now rather than lose him for nothing in 2020.
Alderweireld also has a year left on his current deal, but a £25m release clause stipulated in his contract will be activated this summer, meaning the north London club will be powerless to keep the Belgian if he wants to move on.
Danny Rose, Victor Wanyama and Kieran Tripper could also move as part of Pochettino’s summer upheaval.
