The former Citizen TV presenter, Joey Muthengi has announced her new project months after she made a quit from the local TV station. She wants to work on a project which will uplift new talented artistes.
She made the announcement through her Instagram account where she said; “To my friends & supporters of what was formerly known as ‘JoeysFactory’…you guys…I have missed y’all. I want to turn the Tumblr factory into an actual ‘Factory’ (Praise Him).
I want to create a space where poets, singers, artists, in general, can come showcase their work. Please support and watch out for my posts regarding Joeys Factory. I hope you’ll attend one of my poetry readings and step up to the mic and show us your artistic ability.”
The host of ‘Day Break’ and ‘10 over 10′ handed in her resignation to Royal Media Services after she was summoned for disciplinary action. She ambushed the team, which comprised of four directors, with a one-week notice.
She was later welcomed as Betin brand ambassador after signing a deal that reportedly earned her a six-figure amount. Earlier in the year, she spent time in Italy shooting adverts with Kenyan footballer McDonald Mariga.
The ads have been running on local and continental TV stations. Mariga signed a reported Sh8 million year-long deal with Betin in 2017 to feature in the firm’s adverts.
