Liverpool unveil new pinstriped historic 2019-2020 season kit

Liverpool’s new kit evokes memories of the club when they were the kings of the English Premier League back in the eighties.

The new home kit for the 2019/20 season comes with a classy nod to the club’s history.

The New Balance kit has been modelled on the strip the Reds wore in the 1982-83 season and pays homage to legendary manager Bob Paisley.

The redshirt comes with white pinstripes and is accompanied by red shorts and socks. It is priced at £59.99 for the replica or £94.99 for the match worn shirt.

It is the final home kit of the current deal with New Balance.

The goalkeeper shirt to be worn by Alisson, who will take the No.1 shirt next season, is black with gold trim.

Now available to pre-order from the LFC store, you have until the 8th May to pre-order, with every order from the LFC store also getting a free £10 Liverpool FC retail voucher.

Liverpool is currently on the lookout for a new agreement, which would be the biggest in English football history.

Manchester United currently have the most lucrative contract in the Premier League, banking close to £75m per season from their deal with Adidas.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all currently earn more from their kit suppliers than Liverpool.

Nike has been mentioned as a possible partner for Liverpool with recent reports suggesting the Reds are in “advanced talks”.

The deal was it to go through, would comfortably exceed United’s current agreement and become the biggest ever in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp’s men secured their place in the last four of the Champions League on Wednesday night as they bid to secure an incredible double.

The Reds beat Porto 4-1 to complete a 6-1 aggregate success and now attention turns to this weekend’s trip to Cardiff.

Liverpool returned to the top of the Premier League by beating Chelsea last week although they must hope Manchester City drop points in their run-in to claim the title.
