Watch- ‘Nyatiti’ forces Peter Tabichi to sit on the ground

Kenyans have embraced the spirit of treating our heroes in ways befitting their achievements.

The Global teacher award winner Br Peter Tabichi got a remarkable treat from a random fan.

The famous Physics teacher was wowed by a Luo ‘nyatiti’ artiste who made him sit on the ground to get the traditional entertainment.

Posting on Twitter, Br Tabichi indicated that he met the traditional musician at the Kisumu International airport Tuesday.

Today I met this man at Kisumu International Airport, on my way to Nairobi from Kisumu. He expressed the excitement he felt meeting me, the Global Teacher Prize winner, by playing the Nyatiti (an African eight-stringed instrument)” stated Tabichi.

Since winning the global award, Br Tabichi have been honored by several organisations that focus on education.

He interacted with Wings To Fly Scholars during his address at the Wings To Fly Annual Education and Leadership Congress at Kenyatta University Wednesday.
