Nyeri youth announced that on Wednesday night they will hold a vigil in honor of slain Ivy Wangechi in Nyeri town. This comes as her family prepares to lay her to rest on Thursday in Mahiga, Nyeri County.
Wangechi was hacked to death last week by his alleged ex she had reportedly rejected through continually ignoring him. The accused man, Naftali Kinuthia, is presently being held in police custody, where he would stay for 14 days.
The accused reportedly travelled from Thika to Eldoret in pursuit of the sixth-year medical student at Moi University, whom he finally hacked down using an axe.
Mr. Kinuthia, who was arrested shortly after the deadly attack the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital confessed having murdered ivy W
