A woman in Makueni County is reported to have duped a primary school in the county by posing a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto.
Conniving Ms Jane Nduku lied to the Unoa Primary School headteacher Philip Musyoki that he will be taking the Deputy President to the schools’ fundraising event.
Filled with excitement and hope based on Ms Nduku’s lies, the headteacher prepped his school, making the students line up to entertain the DP as they await his arrival on April 7.
It however wet downhill as there was no show of Ruto.
The enraged headteacher did not take the lies lightly, and therefore filed a court case against Nduku.
Nduku is facing charged with giving false information.
Appearing before Resident Magistrate Joan Otieno at the Makueni Law Courts on Monday, the “close ally to DP Ruto” was remanded for not being able to raise bond of Sh 50,000 or the Sh 30,000 cash bail to secure her freedom.
The case will be heard on May 8.
