The government grappling with under housing is in the limelight trying to implement a multi-billion project.

Jubilee administration has proposed that all employees will be forced to “contribute” 1.5 per cent of their monthly salary to fund affordable Housing Project.

The government is also pushing for support in the ongoing Sh200 billion Konza city- a mega city in Nairobi’s Athi River area.

Apart from the cheap housing rallied by the government, Konza city is modelled to have parks, homes, factories and amenities like hospitals, schools and shopping malls all in one location.

Makueni governor, Dr Kivutha Kibwana has urged politicians and Kenyans to fully support the Konza City project.

The achievement of these mega projects will see Kenyans enjoy better housing.
