This has forced Daily Active to dig deep on how our fathers would handle break-ups.

A notable person who had a peaceful separation is H.E Daniel Toroitch Arap Moi.

In 1974, Vice President Moi filed a case seeking divorce against his wife, Lena, on the grounds of adultery.

The legal battle involved a high profiled lawyers for both sides.

The case was heard in the private Chambers of the then Chief Justice at the Nairobi High Court.

They lived separately henceforth and the divorce court case remained a state secret under wraps to date.

Moi never remarried; he raised their children single-handedly while Lena retreated back to their rural home where she led a quiet life.

Lena Moi died hoping Moi, would one day come back home.

It is always not a matter of life and death.
