Ruto-Bible

Deputy William Ruto has been churchman for as long as we can remember. Way before he joined politics, Ruto was a staunch Christian and a bible study leader.

Therefore it for sure that he has sufficient knowledge of the bible despite the fact that he quoted a verse that was not there in the bible. Bible is such a Voluminous book and forgetting some parts of it is normal!

Deputy President William has always loved to confess his Christian faith publicly. Many times he has been heard preaching and quoting the Bible from time to time.

Last weekend, however, the DP got mixed up in quoting the bible verse.

While speaking on Sunday to Salvation Army congregants at Township Primary School in Kakamega town, the DP cited a famous Bible verse to explain why he will not stop making financial donations to churches.

unfortunately the citing was correct the the quoting was wrong.

Cited Verse

Speaking in Swahili, Ruto quoted Mathew 6:35 saying, instead of Mathew 6:33

“Lakini tafuteni kwanza ufalme wa mbinguni na haki yake, na haya yote mtaongezewa (But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you).

We all know this is Kenya and everyone swiftly forgot about the contents and the accuracy of the verse that Mr. DP quoted. Kenyans took to social media accusing DP of quoting the wrong verse in the bible.

A convinced that some of those too over the conversation did not know whether such a verse existed in such a book. Lol

This slight mistake from the DP did not deserve such an uproar since he is a human being and a normal human being is bound to forget. Yes, Forgetting is part of us and everyone at some point in life forgets. Therefore Ruto Deserves no Criticism Over his slight mistake. It’s Normal!
