Murder: Proof that Kenyans can’t handle their emotions

Love triangle killings have been on the rise in Kenya with the latest shocking incident being that of a 24-year-old Nyaribo woman stabbed on the neck and killed by her alleged boyfriend.

The man is said to have tracked the lady to her friend’s house where she had moved to after they separated a while ago.

While confirming the incident, Nyeri Central Sub-County Police Commander Paul Kuria revealed that the suspect went into hiding immediately after committing the crime and that a manhunt had been launched.

In a related case in Nyeri, a man who stabbed his 30- year- old wife 17 times over the weekend has surrendered to police awaiting trial.

The incident which happened in Mathira left the woman fighting for life after sustaining severe injuries.

Following the recent crime, KOT has found that mental illness should officially be declared a national emergency.
