Drake Curse Spreads From Arsenal & Man City To PSG

The ‘Drake curse’ conspiracy theory
Over the past few days, the Drake conspiracy theory has spread around European football.

The basis of the theory is that Drake, the Canadian rapper, is kryptonite when it comes to sportstars.

Drake is a huge sports fan, who often appears on social media with athletes.

For years conspiracy theorists have touted the claim that there’s a ‘Drake curse’.

Put simply, if you’re a sportsman and you appear in a picture with Drake, bad things (i.e. defeats) follow.

Even Drake knows about the ‘Drake curse’ – he’s previously made fun of it on his Instagram account.

Arsenal & Man City
Last week both Arsenal and Man City were hit by the Drake curse.

Starting with the Gunners, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang met Drake recently during the rapper’s European tour.

Cue Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat at Everton last Sunday in the Premier League, which could prove critical for Arsenal’s top four hopes this season.

Man City’s Sergio Aguero also appears to be hit by the Drake curse.

The Argentine also met up with the rapper in the past few weeks.

The Drake curse the hit Aguero in the Champions League against Tottenham.

Aguero saw his first half penalty saved by Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris.

Tottenham went on to win the match 1-0 thanks to a Son Heung-min winner.

Now it’s PSG turn
PSG are the latest club to be with the Drake curse.

That’s after Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa hung out with Drake.

On Sunday night in Ligue 1, PSG were hammered 5-1 away at Lille.
