David Ndii Now Regrets Supporting Raila in 2017

Re-known Economist David Ndii now appears to regret supporting Raila Odinga’s presidential bid in the 2017 elections.

Over the weekend, a picture of Raila Odinga on a billboard supporting the controversial Huduma Namba was the last straw for Ndii. Ndii is among the many people questioned the motive behind the need for Huduma Namba.

This is such a climbdown. I hope he knows what he is doing. https://t.co/54Ya9lejnw— David Ndii (@DavidNdii) April 14, 2019

Most Kenyans have questioned why and how the former Prime Minister has reduced himself to a model and influencer doing everything to appease President Uhuru Kenyatta.

How does UK most formidable nemesis rapidly evolve into his commercial poster boy to advertise his products ? Is RAO a volunteer or paid professional model? 😉— Nanyingi Mark (@Nanyingih) April 14, 2019

And now David Ndii has been forced to explain why he supported Baba. Ndii said that he wanted a united opposition and he thought Raila was the best among very many bad options.

Ndii has been a key Raila defender and was even arrested in the aftermath of the mock swearing in January 2018.

He was the brains behind the idea of a secession, where the rest of Kenya was to separate from Central Kenya. He even said he was ready to denounce his Kikuyu tribe.

There is no doubt that Raila would suffer a major defeat if he was to vie for an election now because most of his supporters did not approve of the handshake.

What wrong has #RailaOdinga committed? Huduma namba is for everyone and those opposed to it have a chance to challenge it’s implementation at the courts.I stand with Rao on this.— Kevine Ng’anda (@Kevine_Nganda) April 14, 2019

The controversial handshake and the Huduma Namba debate have pushed most of his supporters away.

😂😂😂 How many zeros did this #HandCheque have? It will explain why Raila is now a poster boy for government adverts.— Merryl Omondi (@merryl_omondi) April 14, 2019

David Ndii has now promised to meet Raila on the field.
