Just who will stop former Sports CS Rashid Echesa from his never ending verbal attacks on politicians who share different views from his?
Echesa is known to be a fearless man who says things just as he sees them and as he thinks on them.
He has taken on a number of politicians in the past including former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi.
His attention seem to have now shifted to Mombasa Governor and 2022 Presidential hopeful Ali Hassan Joho. This is all thanks to COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli.
Speaking in Lamu on Saturday, April 13, Atwoli said William Ruto’s name will not be on the ballot come 2022 and as such, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho should prepare to take over the mantle from President Kenyatta.
Well, Joho has already declared his interest in the Presidency come 2022 and has even claimed that he will beat Ruto hands down even without the help of his Party leader Raila Amollo Odinga.
Joho’s Presidential bid will however face a number of hurdles with one of them being Rashid Echesa.
According to Echesa, Joho does not have what it takes to be the Country’s head of state given his poor academic record.
Echesa has said that when he was appointed Sports CS, he decided to enrol in an adult class better known by many as “Gumbaru”
The former boxer said that one of the members of his class was Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and that he was the most stupid among them all.
Echesa has argued that due to Joho’s poor Academic record, he is unfit to lead the Country and cannot beat William Ruto, a PHD Holder.
Is Echesa right to write off Joho’s Presidential bid due to his Academic Levels?
