Tanga Tanga! Just accept Raila is a force Uhuru can’t ignore

ODM politicians have requested the Tanga tanga squad led by Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu to accept that Odinga is a force that no one can ignore.

Section of Jubilee politicians allied to the DP said have on several occasion accused Raila Odinga of wrecking the Jubilee party through a handshake.

ODM senator James Orengo on several occasion has maintained that the opposition has achieved their mission of disintegrating the Jubilee party.

Recently Orengo said that their target was deputy president William Ruto.

The consequences of the handshake have now left Jubilee more divided than ever with Waititu calling for the disbandment of the handshake.

Thirdway Alliance leader Ekuru Aukot had filed a petition in court seeking the dissolution of the Building Bridges taskforce.

The team was set up through a May 31 gazette notice to steer President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga’s handshake.

The Building Bridges to Unity Advisory Team was formed to consult Kenyans on way out of the violence that follows every election cycle.

But Aukot, in the petition filed on Thursday, says the team has no legal mandate.

He argues in court papers that the decision to create the team was made in total disregard of the constitutional requirement for public participation.

Aukot further says the task force was formed in a way that contravenes the provisions of Article 132 of the Constitution as well as Chapter 15 of the Constitution on the establishment of commissions and independent offices.

President Uhuru has vowed that he won’t let Odinga out of the government noting that the handshake has brought peace across the Country.

Baringo senator Gideon Moi has said the March 9 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga was the topmost achievement for the nation in 2018.

“The handshake changed the landscape of the country, as the two leaders taught us that as citizens of this great nation, selflessness triumphs over selfishness and personal ambitions,” he said.

He asked Kenyans and leaders to work together  for the prosperity of the Country.
