New Inspector General of Police Hilary Mutyambai has already revealed his true colours, less than two weeks after taking the job.
As things stand, Mutyambai is not a big fan of DP William Ruto and his Tanga Tanga team. And the IG is letting it known publicly where his allegiance lies.
In his first major decision, Mutyambai has withdrawn the security detail of Tanga Tanga members; Governor Waititu, Senator Kihika, MPs Ichungwa and Ngunjiri.
The leaders were attending a rally in Nakuru County accompanying their master, William Ruto.
President Uhuru has on several occasion requested leaders to shun politics and concentrate n developments agenda.
Waititu has on several occasion said that nothing will stop him from campaign for the deputy president.
“We in mount Kenya region will support the DP no matter what and those calling for the resignation will be in a rude shock,”Waititu said.
Bahati Mp Ngunjiri Wambugu and Oscar Sudi recently caused a drama after they claimed that Uhuru has neglected.
The two leaders said that they will hunt for the president and ensure their working relationship is improved.
“We will look for the president and ensure that the working relationship with the deputy is improved,we dont want them to separate,”Ngunjiri said.
On the other hand, the Kieleweke group led by Kamanda has said that they will not allow anyone to intimidate the head of state.
Kamanda accused Waititu and the team of misleading the community by forcefully endorsing the DP.
“Waititu is in business and he is a thief so dont believe whatever he says,in Mount Kenya we wont allow anyone to intiomidate the president,”he said.
