Revealed: Politicians fighting over control of Jubilee Party

It has now been revealed that the fight within the Jubilee party is fueled over the ownership of the Jubilee party in 2022.

Over the last one year section of the Jubilee politicians led by Maina Kamanda has been accusing the deputy president William Ruto of plot to take over the Jubilee party.

Sources within the Jubilee has hinted that the Kieleweke squad led y Maina Kamanda is worried that the DP might lock them from nomination.

He argues that the DP is expecting to take over the Jubilee party once Uhuru ends his term.

“The control of the Jubilee party in 2022 is what is causing all these problems,the likes of Maina Kamanda believes that Ruto will deny them nomination certificate,” he said.

Speaking at local television the DP denied the allegation noting that Uhuru will continue to serve as the party leader even after 2022.

“Dont listen to what is happening outside,Uhuru Kenyatta will be our party leader even after 2022,”he said.

Jubilee party secretary-general has now been a big headache to that DP in the succession matrix with politicians allied to DP accuse him of being used by the opposition leader Raila Odinga.

The back scenes tussle between Ruto and Tuju is fuelled by their aspirations to control the Jubilee political machine ahead of 2022.

Some sources say Tuju, who is also a Cabinet minister without portfolio, is simply executing Uhuru’s directives, pointing to the widening rift between the President and his deputy.

Former powerful Jubilee vice-chairman David Murathe is also understood to still be pulling the strings, despite resigning in a huff in January, citing differences with Ruto.

Signals of a tough war between Tuju and Ruto emerged this week after the ex-Rarieda MP issued a Jubilee statement on “setting the record straight” on ODM’s withdrawal from the Wajir West poll.

He said there were “high-level consultations between Opposition Chief Raila Odinga and President Uhuru before Mohamed Elmi withdrew as ODM’s candidate for the poll”.
