First things first, it is important to understand the very purpose of pubic hair. It actually acts as a barrier against all sorts of germs and bacteria that threaten to infect your private parts. Secondly and more importantly, the presence of pubic hair absorbs excess sweat and moisture. Last but not least, it actually serves as a cushion and helps to avoid friction and irritation.

Yes. The irritation and burning sensation you feel after hair removal is not just in your head. Removing the hair down there can actually open microscopic wounds on your skin, leaving you more susceptible to infections.

This happens because when you regularly get rid of your pubic hair, it leaves the skin irritated, which in combination with the humid skin of your genitals can cause a range of infections

Moreover, give your shaved skin some time to calm down before you get down to the action as it is really sensitive and prone to infections right after you have shaved it.

Ultimately, shaving your pubic hair is actually a matter of personal preference. We are nobody to tell you what to do with your body and nobody should actually pressurize you into removing it if you are not okay with it either.

So whether you feel like trimming, waxing or shaving it, go ahead and do the same but make sure to do it carefully to avoid razor cuts and burns.
