Ander Herrera has aimed a slight dig at Manchester United saying the Red Devils are far away from satisfying his wage demands.

The Spaniard’s current contract with United expires at the end of the season and reports suggest he has agreed on a pre-contract agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to join them in the summer as a free agent.

Herrera, who has spent five years at Old Trafford, is reportedly asking for a mammoth £200,000-a-week wage to stay with United.

He told Spain’s news outlet ABC: ‘It’s true that I only have two months on my contract left, and today, Manchester United and I aren’t thinking the same and there is no renewal agreement, but my duty is to keep listening to United.

“What I have clear is that I’m going to continue playing in a big team. ‘I will listen to United, of course, but also to other clubs. I do not close doors.”
