Deputy President William Ruto has hinted that he may not necessarily run for presidency in 2022.
In an exclusive interview with Citizen TV’s Hussein Mohammed, Ruto said that he is not guaranteed a Jubilee ticket in the 2022 elections.
“We will conduct a transparent nomination to field a presidential candidate, who does not necessarily have to be me. I will have to fight it out with others and persuade members.”
What if he is not the Jubilee candidate? Will he quit the presidential race? Well that is a question that can only be answered when the time comes.
He said that the Jubilee Party was formed on the foundations of unity and oneness and members are allowed to make decisions.
well it will be a shock if Ruto does not run for presidency. And even his employee, Emanuel Talam has told Kenyans to expect such a reality.
Talam is a senior employee in the office of the Deputy President.
Do you believe that Ruto can step down in 2022?
Ama this is another card just on the table. Ruto has been criticized by a section of Mt. Kenya leaders led by David Murathe.
Murathe has said he will ensure the DP does not rise to State House.
