A 16-year-old girl is reported to have found the news of a relationship break up too much to bear, leading her to taking away her own life.
The Nyangubo Girls Secondary School student’s body was found dangling on a rope inside her mother’s house at Oruba village in Suna West Sub-County.
This is after she is said to have received a message from her boyfriend terminating their relationship.
Area assistant chief Charles Ouma said the distraught girl had informed her friends that she was considering suicide over the message.
Neighbours said they noticed the door to the family home was locked for long and her phone was ringing inside the house.When they peeped through the bedroom window they were shocked to see the body dangling from a rafter.
Area authorities have said they will be looking into the case further.
