What Boinnet knows about tourism

Former Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet has been sworn in as Tourism and Wildlife CAS in State House ceremony witnessed by President Kenyatta.

President Kenyatta lauded the outgoing Inspector General of Police for serving his term with diligence as well as for taking the National Police Service to a higher level.

At the ceremony conducted by Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua and attended by Deputy President William Ruto, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi and Tourism CS Najib Balala among other senior government officials, Boinnet signed the Leadership and Integrity Code and the Accountability Pledge.

The signing of the Leadership and Integrity Code and the Accountability Pledge by State officers is part of the Head of State’s unwavering commitment to entrenching ethos of good governance and integrity at the highest levels of public service.

It is also in line with the President’s stand on absolute fidelity to the principles of transparency and accountability.

The president may be sure of why Boinnet should hold the position but Kenyans beg to differ.Aside from the fact that the country has a habit of recycling leaders, citizens have question the police boss knowledge in Tourism that warranted him the new position.
