I hear the stone armed lynch mobs are now looking for Edwin Sifuna, a soft target, to sacrifice for the party’s dismal perfomace
The problems of ODM are older than Sifuna’s tenure, and infact institutionalized
Sacrificing Sifuna, an easy target, won’t solve anything
Again contrary to what everyone believes, ODM isn’t/hasn’t grown any weaker or eroded even a pebble. If an election is called today, it’s party tickets will be sought like hot cake
If for example Ruto is compete Raila in a presidential election today, a Luo, Ochieng included will vote for Raila, and a Kalenjin, Janet, Ruto’s MP, elected as an independent candidate, will vote for Ruto
The other communities will wait for a signal from their tribal gods on the direction to vote
No one has changed mind or loyalty in the by elections and the status quo, in the political alignments, remain unupset
However, any death of a political party, especially the big ones, is a blessing to the country
We all know all our political parties are outfits devoid of any ideology, coalescing around individuals, the same which are used as an entity to legalize tribalism, as each party is associated with some community
Makes me laugh off, when I hear someone say “Jubilee inaunganisha wakenya”, I wonder how an amalgamation of two tribes rigging their way to power, hiring only members of their community to the top government jobs and exchanging power between them, ten years each, in a country of 42 tribes, is uniting Kenya
These parties have done more harm than good to Kenya and the country should even plan to execute them through a conditional ammendments, not just wait for them to die
It is also through these parties that commen, use their stolen money to illegally acquire party certificates, then ride on euphoria to power. That’s how we get led by cartels
They are nothing but vehicles yokes to hold tribes together, then walk them around, hawking the for a political deal that only benefits the tribal god
That’s the sad reality
