Jumia caught with fake cream in counterfeit goods crackdown

Jumia online store was intercepted with counterfeit Makari facial cream just before the product was delivered to its consumer.

This was by government’s Anti-Counterfeit Agency (ACA), which has lately been cracking the whip on rampant sale of fake products in the Kenyan market.

Such was the case despite Makari being a multinational brand.

The agency similarly ransacked Madora store, another reputable name, but wound up finding fake perfumes on sale last month.

It is therefore pretty clear that the expensive products, at least in Kenya, are not necessarily quality either.
