Ugandan Politician and Activist Bobi Wine was privileged to be part of the democracy agenda with top leaders and activists in Berlin Germany.

This morning, Bobi Wine joined fellow leaders and activists from 60 countries, speaking about free speech- Berlin, Germany.

The Strategy Conference organised by IFEX, brought together leaders and activists for democracy and the freedom of expression from the world.

The leaders held conversation aimed at building synergies with other comrades from the world.

Speaking during the forum, Bobi Wine noted that when the freedom of expression becomes the target of suppression, opposition becomes our position.

During his berlin trip, Bobi Wine also presided over a football match involving an Afro-German football club yesterday.

The politician  expressed gratitude to the club leadership for engaging and uplifting the talent of African youth who come looking for opportunities.

He also met and had a chat with Ugandans living in Berlin and according to Bobi Wine, their resolve to change things in Uganda is indeed impressive.

Bobi Wine also spent some time at the Berlin wall, which was brought down by the power of the people when they spoke with one voice.

He stated that the Berlin wall was indeed physical, but seeing it caused him to reflect on the economic, social & political walls that exist in Uganda separating those who have & those that don’t; indeed those few who are in power & majority of the poor people who have been dis-empowered.

The vocal politician has had his voice go far and wide and his fight for transforming his home country  remains vibrant despite the challenges encountered.
